iRecycle Run-Spartanburg Half Marathon

Half-marathon winners
URRC (United Resource Recovery Corporation), Spartanburg Coca-Cola and the City of Spartanburg hosted the inaugural iRecycle Run-Spartanburg Half Marathon on October 10, 2009.
This event benefits scholarships given through the iRecycle program to Spartanburg Community College and supports community recycling efforts. This is the only half marathon in Spartanburg and it was a huge success and attracted runners from throughout the region. There were over 500 participants in the events! (including the 5K run.)

- To acknowledge our commitment to reuse, the race awards are made of recycled plastic.
There were awards for the first through third place winners in each age category and for male and female winners. All finishers of the half marathon will receive a finishers medal!.
Our shirts are of 100% cotton and our race packets come in a nylon drawstring bag with the race logo embroidered on them.
